England Day 4: Posters, Travel plans, and sad movies

Sorry you're getting two posts in one day. I was a day behind because I didn't start until yesterday and yesterday was day 3. And today is day 4. Confusing I know but after today it will be on track. :)

Another beautiful day in England! Where is the the rain they are talking about? Oh man. Probably just jinxed myself. Now it will rain the rest of the time. Greaaat. lol We were picked up for camp again and got to meet more of the staff. We had a few meetings in the morning with Brandy and with our group leader Brittany. We talked about our themes for the weeks and who would do the different sports camps. We're going to rotate sports camps and classrooms so we get a chance to do a little of everything. We also worked on our posters for next week. We're doing sports week. Lots of cool posters. Then we had lunch made by the awesome Jamaican cook. :)

After lunch we went to the travel agency again because there were a few things we wanted to do this weekend. There was a lot of discussion and debate about what would be best but since this first weekend we can't stay overnight anywhere we decided on some trips not far from our base. We plan on going to Cambridge on Friday, since we have the day off, and Bury St. Edmunds on Saturday. Our two directors said they are awesome towns to visit that aren't that far away and good day trips.

Cambridge is a college town with some great shops and pubs. They said we had to go punting, which is row a boat with a long stick. Sounds like fun as long as we don't get the stick stuck. lol. Bury St. Edmunds is a cute little town. We were told on Saturday there is a festival going on and that one of our directors, Gary, will be there with his wife so we'll probably run into him.

We walked back to the Youth Center after lunch and worked on posters the rest of the time. We were also introduced at the parent orientations and the parents were excited to have Camp Adventure this year. We saw some kids and they were waving and cheering for us. They were also excited.

We came back around 5 and made our own dinner. We decided to relax a little and watch TV. We watched The Last Song, which was sad, and then Marley and Me. Definitely two sad movies, but good ones.

Heading to bed soon and then meeting the kids tomorrow. The kids only have a half day of school since it's there last day so we well see a little of how the program will run. So excited!

Cheerio. :)
